Allan joined Fasken Martineau DuMoulin as an associate in 1981 and became a partner in 1986. His general corporate law practice emphasizes transactional mergers and acquisitions. In addition to his extensive M & A background, Allan has particular experience in the creation and operation of public labour-sponsored venture capital corporations, domestic and offshore structured finance entities, commodities, derivatives and hedge funds, limited partnership syndications, registered tax shelters and other government incentive financing. He is or has been a director of a number of public companies and venture capital funds. He is a founding member of the firm’s Emerging Global Business Group.
Allan received his law degree from the University of Toronto and has a Bachelor of Arts (Mathematics and Economics) from Waterloo University. |
